Data methodology
SkinCraftMC combines live Minecraft profile responses with observations saved by this site. A current lookup and an archive observation are different kinds of evidence, so we label them separately and do not claim a complete history.
Sources and collection
Current username, UUID, skin, cape, and model information is requested from Mojang's public Minecraft services. Texture images are served from Mojang's official texture CDN. When somebody performs a lookup, SkinCraftMC may record the player name and skin seen at that moment, plus first-seen and last-seen timestamps. Those timestamps describe our archive, not the date Mojang or the player originally created or changed something.
History and availability limits
Name and skin histories contain only changes SkinCraftMC has observed or reliable records returned during a lookup. Gaps are expected. A name that does not resolve publicly is shown as probably available or unknown, never as a guaranteed registration result. Mojang cooldowns, blocked names, deleted accounts, outages, and rate limits can all affect that answer.
Refreshes, caching, and rankings
Live profile responses are cached to protect upstream services and refreshed on later lookups. Catalog pages may update on a short delay. Recent, popular, and trending views use recorded recency, wearer, and on-site view signals; they are not claims about popularity across all of Minecraft.
